内容提要：
我的哥哥可不是个普通的人，他是一个三年级生。他一连考了那么些个满分，妈妈送他一顶帽子当奖品！这顶帽子的颜色可真蓝，漆黑的帽檐亮闪闪,别说把它戴在头上，就是看看心里也喜欢。
可是这顶帽子有点奇怪，它的帽檐老是掉下来；妈妈把它缝了又缝，不知道为什么它总是坏。妈妈叫我跟哥哥一块儿，看看帽檐怎么会掉下来，可是哥哥只要一见我，马上就把我赶开。
今天我偷偷地到了他的学校，这事儿一下子就弄明白，他们七八个三年级生，一出校门就把帽檐扯下来。他们在空地上来回地跑又喊"靠岸"又喊"抛锚"，哥哥拿着个望远镜--木头的，四面八方到处瞧。
我还没决定躲不躲，望远镜已经瞄准了我，忽然背后一声喊，我叫人抓住怎么也挣不脱。两个水兵向哥哥敬礼，报告抓到了什么"奸细"，哥哥看也不看我一眼，就下命令把我枪毙。我生气地说："我不是什么奸细，我是你的弟弟!"
可是哥哥皱着眉说："是奸细就不是弟弟!"这么欺负人还能行?我就又踢又打吵个不停，两个水兵只好安慰我，说枪毙是假的一点不疼。我说："反正我不能叫你们枪毙，不管它疼还是不疼；我长大了要当解放军，随便说我是奸细就不成!"

一个卖帽人路过一片森林，决定在一棵树下小憩一会，他把整篮帽子放在傍边。过了几个小时他醒来，发现到他的帽子都不见了。
他抬起头往上一看，让他十分吃惊，树上爬满了猴子，都戴着他的帽子。他坐下来寻思，怎么才能把帽子都弄拿回来。
他开始挠头思考，猴子们也学样开始挠头。接下来，他摘下自己的帽子，猴子们也都摘下帽子。他想出一个主意，摘下帽子扔在地上，猴子们也摘下帽子，把它们扔倒地上。就这样，他成功地把帽子从猴子那里取了回来。
五十年后，他的孙子也成为一个卖帽人。他听说过猴子从爷爷拿帽人的故事。有一天，像他爷爷一样，他路过同一片森林。天很热，他在同一棵树下打盹，把帽子都放在地上。
他醒来发现他帽子都被树上的猴子拿走了。他记起爷爷的话，开始挠头，猴子们也学样挠头。他摘下帽子拿它扇风，猴子们也摘下帽子拿它们扇风。这时候他很信他爷爷的法子，于是把帽子扔在地上，但让他惊讶的是，猴子们手里仍拿着帽子，没有一只猴仍帽子。
接着有一只猴爬下树，抓起地上的帽子，击打了他一下说道：“你以为只有你有爷爷吗?”
The Hat Seller and the Monkeys
A hat-seller who was passing by a forest decided to take a nap under one of the trees, so he left his whole basket of hats by the side. A few hours later, he woke up and realized that all his hats were gone.
He looked up and to his surprise, the tree was full of monkeys and they had taken all his hats.sits down and thinks of how he can get the hats down.
While thinking he started to scratch his head. At the moment, the monkeys were doing thesame. Next, he took down his own hat, the monkeys did exactly the same. An idea came to him, he took his hat and threw it on the floor and the monkeys did that too. So he finally managed to get all his hats back.from the monkeys.
Fifty years later, his grandson, also became a hat-seller and had heard this monkey story fromhis grandfather father. One day, just like his grandfather, he passed by the same forest. It was very hot, and he took a nap under the same tree and left the hats on the floor.
He woke up and realized that all his hats were taken by the monkeys on the tree. He remembered his grandfather's words, he started scratching his head and the monkeys followed. He took down his hat and fanned himself and again the monkeys followed. Now, very convinced of his grandfather's idea, he threw his hat on the floor but to his surprise, the monkeys still held on to all the hats.
Then one monkey climbed down the tree, grabbed the hat on the floor, gave him a slap and said, "You think only you have a grandfather?"
